rocketeer55 Posted June 22, 2011 pleaswe someone help me out TheHippi just explained what to do. Did you do what he said? It is very hard to understand your first post, but 1. What is vlc. 2. Is one of the problems your songs are gone? Is this in Windows explorer or windows media player? more information would be helpful.

wevsspot Posted June 22, 2011 Kash - what is the format of the songs you are trying to play with WMP12? Are they all .mp3, wma or some other sound format? Can you isolate if it is only one type of file extension that WMP12 won't play? Guess you could try a brute force removal and reinstallation of WMP12. It looks like you're running Windows 7 so that isn't too hard. 1. Type services.msc on windows 7 search bar 2. Stop Windows Media Player Network Sharing Service. 4. Take Ownership of following files All files in “Program Files\Windows Media Player\” folder All files starting with “wmp” in System32 folder wmploc.dll.mui in “Sytem32\en-us\” folder 5. Go to control Panel 6. Choose programs and features (not uninstall) 7. Choose Turn Windows Feature On or Off on the left of the screen 8. Find Media Features 9. Uncheck "Media Features" then press Ok 10. Restart, and reinstall WMP
