because i'm impatient by nature, faster is always better,....faster boot up, faster app's, faster games, faster internet, faster pics, faster movies, faster everything, and i want it NOW....i want MOAR BIGGER BETTER FASTER... so therefore i overclock...

I OC for a few reasons. "Free" performance, because it's fun, and because Intel doesn't make a 6 core 12 thread CPU with this performance that I can buy at this speed.

For general performance and to reduce bottlenecks, also because there's a lot of difference in some games with OC vs stock speeds.
