You may want to warn people that, with the first game, the first few hours are extremely slow and boring, so they should stick with it and not give up hope. Once you get past the opening few hours and get into the first chapter, things really open up and can suck you in easily. And to go with what Stoner said, yeah, it's a good idea to clean out your saves every so often. If you are in the habit of just making a new one instead of overwriting, they can build up and bog things down over time.
