jammin Posted July 5, 2011 Posted July 5, 2011 (edited) Yeah I know, I have been slack on this project since I got back from being away (I have been busy with some other stuff). Will have some updates for you soon I hope. Edited July 5, 2011 by jammin
jammin Posted July 7, 2011 Posted July 7, 2011 (edited) OK, work has recommenced on this project now. I was waiting for another piece of vinyl to replace the two pieces I ended up using on the front panel (which didn't look up to standard). So I replaced that with a single sheet. I also made a little aluminium plate for the switch / LED area so it would look a bit neater. So this is what it looks like after doing that work this evening: Better than before I hope you'll agree. Photos a little rough because of the poor lighting. Edited July 7, 2011 by jammin
SpeedCrazy Posted July 7, 2011 Posted July 7, 2011 Nice touch, definetly agree on the one sheet of vinyl it looks a sight better seamless across the front.
gotdamojo06 Posted July 7, 2011 Posted July 7, 2011 I really like the plate for the power button and LEDS...makes it look a lot cleaner
ccokeman Posted July 8, 2011 Posted July 8, 2011 The plate for the button and LED's makes a substantial difference in the looks!
bp9801 Posted July 8, 2011 Posted July 8, 2011 Agreed, single piece of vinyl and the aluminum plate make it look real good. Very clean look to it now.
Silverfox Posted July 8, 2011 Posted July 8, 2011 Knew you'd go with a single sheet. Two sheets looked wank.
OrangeJuice Posted July 11, 2011 Posted July 11, 2011 Oh man, this case looks real swank. Makes me want to start building my own...
Silverfox Posted July 18, 2011 Posted July 18, 2011 C'mon Jammin - we want more! MOAR!
jammin Posted July 28, 2011 Posted July 28, 2011 Yep, I have still been getting sidetracked on this. I did get a couple more bits delivered today, which should give me some more motivation to finish this project off. A Thermalright 1156 bolt thru kit, which I will need for my TRUE as I'm pretty certain I'll be going for a 1155 build now. Also three TY-140 fans. Two for the case top / bottom and one as a spare or possibly to use on the CPU or GPU heatsink if it happens to fit.
Silverfox Posted July 28, 2011 Posted July 28, 2011 Chop-chop! How much will the 1156 build sting you for?
jammin Posted July 28, 2011 Posted July 28, 2011 Just need a CPU and Motherboard, so probably looking at something like £250. RAM that I already have brings that to about £300. Should be able to recoup a bit of that by selling off the old stuff. And 1155, not 1156
