If you plan on overclocking a cpu cooler and a K-version of the processor would help.

1000W PSU is total overkill, Corsair 750W will be more than sufficient, even with two of those cards.

better to buy 2x4GB 1600MHz ram than 2x2GB 2200MHz, the real world speed difference is marginal and 4GB is really small (or on the lower end at least)

Hey mate :)

firstly, what will you be using it for because i would recommend changing to a 2500k instead unless your going to use the i7 to its full potential. also if your going to overclock, change to the K series :)

I personally would change the mobo to the sabertooth purely because i dont like the price of that board. The sabertooth is an amazing board.

as for the ram, pick up a 1333mhz set you will see little to no difference between 1600 and this. Get a 2x4GB set instead.

i agree with the psu, a 750-800w would be enough

as for the case, i personally would go for something like a HAF X but thats a personal choice.

Looks great.

Cheers

I agree, The Motherboard is abit overkill and your better off getting a sabertooth or P8p67 Pro. If you dont know how to overclock and dont want to take the chance but still want the performance get the MSI GD65 because it has OC Genie and will overclock for you. Also 750w power supply will do, plus 2x8 gb at 1600mhz is better than 4gbs any day. Faster memory is NOT always better. I wony really recommend that case but its mainly up to you. For that price you can get something way better like the Corsair 800d or HAF X but that is strictly up to you. Maybe with all the money you save on these recommendations you can get a 2nd GTX 570 and sli

For a mid tower case, look at the CM 690 II Advanced. Full tower, can't go wrong with the HAF-X. The NZXT Phantom is nice, as is the Azza Hurican 2000. I think the Level 10GT is all looks but no brains. Its not even that good looking, actually, if you ask me. Have you seen one in person? Try going to a MicroCenter and looking at one before you buy.

For motherboards, MSI has alot of options that come in cheaper than the GD-65 with plenty of features. I found the GD-55 had everything I wanted, and it consistently comes in about $20-$30 less than the Asus models (with features that Asus doesn't offer, like Dual BIOS). That Asus Rampage is way overpriced everywhere I've seen it, I'm not convinced it offers any competitive features over the lower models.

Definitely don't need 2000 MHz RAM. Total waste of money. Nothing higher than 1600 MHz (and you will never know the difference).

To re-iterate, you don't need a PSU higher than 750-850w. A silver certified unit is more than you need, like the Corsair HX850 if you feel more comfortable with overkill.

That SSD is beast, but if you aren't doing alot of major data work I don't think its worth it. You can get a Vertex 2 for half the price, and you won't see a performance hit with normal tasks like starting up, opening programs, and gaming. You will see a difference if you do alot of large file transfer/reading and writing (like databases or heavy media editing).

You're wasting your money on any P67 motherboard if you don't buy a 'K' series CPU! The non-K series CPUs CANNOT be overclocked, and the P67 boards are designed for overclocking. If you get the 2600, you should be looking at H67 boards. If you get the P67 board, you should be buying the 2600K or the 2500K processor (for you, the 2500K is fine).

Okay thank you for the recommendations.

I ordered the core I7 K series. Im going to keep the motherboard I picked out, the sabertooth is out of stock.

Can someone recommend a good ram Kit. 2 X 4GB perhaps ?

I can't return the PSU, it already arrived so I'm stuck with that.

Also what is a good aftermarket CPU cooler, there was only one option on newegg for LGA 1155 and it didnt look very good.

Thanks guys!

For RAM a good G.Skill Ripjaws set is fine. Mushkin, Corsair, and Crucial are all solid. Honestly, you won't see much performance difference, so go with whatever is on sale (recommend 1.5v with that motherboard).
