Nyt Posted May 11, 2011 Posted May 11, 2011 Wow I stomped on Boinker I cant believe I beat him by over 30FPS in Heaven Maybe my heaven can beat three of his 480's
El_Capitan Posted May 11, 2011 Posted May 11, 2011 Well, he didn't have it at as high overclocks as ours. Even my GTX 460 1GB's at 960Mhz Core Clock got 61.6FPS at our Unigine Heaven settings. That's around 4FPS difference between his GTX 480's and my GTX 460 1GB's.

Black64 Posted May 11, 2011 Posted May 11, 2011 After reading all this I might need to upgrade my card!
Speedway Posted May 11, 2011 Posted May 11, 2011 Well even on a hot 87F day, and with my AC not cooling properly because I am either low on Freon, or it has leaked out completely With my Ambient temps @ 28C, I managed to break 90fps Can't wait till I fix my AC later today and get my ambient temps down
El_Capitan Posted May 11, 2011 Posted May 11, 2011 Still beats my score! I wish it was 87F here.
Nyt Posted May 11, 2011 Posted May 11, 2011 Remember Speedway , I've still got room to push the 580's
Speedway Posted May 11, 2011 Posted May 11, 2011 Rem Nyt, I have less than $500 in my xFire setup I could add a 3rd 6970, which I would have $740 in the tri-fire setup for S and G's I have no idea what the gpu clocks are on the SS, older drivers also edit: also Capi I was at 1300mV on the 1010/1525 OC
MercuryDoun Posted May 11, 2011 Posted May 11, 2011 Yeah guys. Rub it in some more. Comparatively you dont have your 480's overclocked very high. Its no wonder similar performance cards are beating yours! OVerclock higher!
Speedway Posted May 11, 2011 Posted May 11, 2011 OVerclock higher! I love these forums, you can use this arguement for just about everything
El_Capitan Posted May 11, 2011 Posted May 11, 2011 edit: also Capi I was at 1300mV on the 1010/1525 OC Oh yeah, I forgot... and I have a HD 6970. Btw, I'll be having two or three of them soon, depending on numerous factors.
Speedway Posted May 11, 2011 Posted May 11, 2011 Oh yeah, I forgot... and I have a HD 6970. Btw, I'll be having two or three of them soon, depending on numerous factors. I have been extremely pleased with them, esp at the price I paid for the 2 I'm keeping after selling 3 (2 of which are already gone) for a $50 profit each In the end I will have gotten my 2 ASUS 6970's for $410 Total, $205 per Card
