MSI P67GD45 won't boot

i just put up new system, took me about 10 min to put everything together and another 4 hour to get right cable management and when i went to turn it on it won't boot up, did few random restart, but never got into bios, so no luck, now after trying twice and checking everything 4 times and this time happened same thing except burning smell, i checked everything and everything was good. so don't know did open ticket at MSI but no luck till least monday, might get something here faster.

Have you tried running each memory stick themselves in different slots. If you have other video cards or power supplies to test in the system that's always good too

The burning smell doesn't sound too good, but on those MSI boards always start with a single stick of RAM until you can get into the BIOS, load default settings and manually input your primary memory timings and ram voltage.

 

Take a look in your manual and it will specify one DIMM slot as the primary, be sure to use the slot that your manual recommends.

Did you forget too plug in your CPU cooler?!

Maybe the PSU is bad...

i have the same board and i did the same thing

in my case i had the cpu fan plugged into the wrong fan header

Aye double check all the power pins are in place securely, as well as all the fans. A bad connection will hijack your startup.

did you over tighten the cpu cooler ive done it before and system did the same thing
