Peace1981 Posted April 11, 2011 Posted April 11, 2011 Hi all, I will admit it straight away, I used to build my pc's back in the day but have gotten lazy and now use the professional specialists much like your yourselves to build me good rigs that will last me 3 - 4 years with a warranty and support etc... I have used this particular specialist firm before and I was very happy with the build quality. I mainly use the system for Movies, High end gaming, work and also video editing and rendering on adobe / Vegas etc... This is the main bulk of the package Silverstone Fortress FT02 i7 2600K Sandy Bridge CPU clocked to 4.5Ghz Asus P8P67 Pro motherboard Corsair 16GB DDR3 1600MHz Memory Titan Fenrir Evo Extreme Low Noise Cooler GeForce GTX 580 1.5GB Corsair Force 120GB Solid State Drive 1000GB 7200RPM Samsung F3 Hard Disk 1000GB 7200RPM Samsung F3 Hard Disk Samsung Blu-ray ROM / DVD-RW Burner Xigmatek 700W Ultra Silent 80+ Bronze PSU Asus Xonar DS 7.1 PCI Sound Card Asus VG236HE 23" 3D Full HD Widescreen TFT Monitor Nvidia GeForce 3D Vision Kit Nvidia GeForce 3D Extra Glasses In total its coming to about £2400 inc Vat I have worked out I could probably put the whole thing together for about £375 - £400 less but to be fair I like the firm and think they are worth it based on previous experience. So if you look at the above specs for about £2000 what do you think and are there any flaws with it. Thanks.

My_Inner_Fred Posted April 12, 2011 Posted April 12, 2011 Your spending a little to much in my opinion.... I'd never spend more than $2000 at once when building a PC. Tech gets outdated too fast... I suggest you spend around $1500 and save $500 for future upgrades instead of blowing it all at once.
