I'd suggest stating that it isn't an April Fool's prank so people don't think it's a funny April Fool's joke. Anyways, if it's true, that really sucks. I would check your Homeowner's or Renter's insurance to see if they cover it. I would also submit an RMA to each of those components that you had, maybe you'd get lucky and get something in return. Plus, I wouldn't throw anything away. Try to have someone from the fire department's forensics team see what could have caused it, thus if they decide that it was a certain component, then maybe you could send that info on to the manufacturer of that component and get a settlement of some kind. Two, your homeowners insurance should cover it on the rare chance that this isn't a joke but I doubt the deductible is low enough to matter. Besides - do you really expect us to think you were running a beige tower with an old beige CRT? That case isn't even big enough to be a 932...
