My PC is gone....

Recommended Posts

To be honest Trap, it is April Fool's Day. I'd suggest stating that it isn't an April Fool's prank so people don't think it's a funny April Fool's joke.

Anyways, if it's true, that really sucks. I would check your Homeowner's or Renter's insurance to see if they cover it.

I would also submit an RMA to each of those components that you had, maybe you'd get lucky and get something in return. Plus, I wouldn't throw anything away. Try to have someone from the fire department's forensics team see what could have caused it, thus if they decide that it was a certain component, then maybe you could send that info on to the manufacturer of that component and get a settlement of some kind. Just throwing that out there.

I'm glad you think this is funny. That's over $1500 gone.

It's April Fools Day, for one.

Two, your homeowners insurance should cover it on the rare chance that this isn't a joke but I doubt the deductible is low enough to matter.

Besides - do you really expect us to think you were running a beige tower with an old beige CRT? That case isn't even big enough to be a 932...

Also, that was quite a major fire which hit that comp in your pic. Not just a little one.

Good pranks, had me fooled for a while.

Figured as much, but didn't want to be mean and laugh if it WAS true. It's like saying your parent's died on April Fool's when they didn't. You can't quite laugh at that...

You couldn't just saran wrap the toilet like the rest of us, you had to go and make us believe your beloved PC caught fire.

Saran wrap nothing, i turned the door handles around. Locked and waiting for someone to close the door and get locked inside.
