You know they have 10,000 rpm drives and SDD's right? they need a score high enough for those to. ;)

Any mechanical drive is incapable of scoring over 5.9 on the WEI scale. :)

Eh, you could say the same thing about the original SATA -> SATA II transition. Few (if any) mechanical HDDs ever performed much differently with SATA II.

 

So...while not beneficial to HDDs, I still would choose a SATA III drive over SATA I or II at the same price point. Why not? :P

 

Not saying you shouldn't buy it... just the advertising kind of misleads people into thinking they are getting a faster drive.

Yup interface speed is faster, inyourface speed is not :lol: .

 

I love when people hate on an Sata II drive which is cheaper and spec'd the same as an sata 3 drive and want that sata 3 drive (speaking of nonSSD drives)
