i7 2600k and mobo on its way

Can I use my 1156 heatsink on the new 1155

Well... the Noctua NH-D14 I installed did not have the 1155 listed on the box as being compatible and to tell you the truth as I was putting it on I was praying that the holes would line up were they should, and they did, and very well I must say. Someone with more experience will have to answer your question. The NH-D14 was so big that I had to remove the heat sinks of two of my Dominator simms to get the clearance on the two that were next to the CPU. Make it fit.... yes I did.

Yes, the 1156 mounting is the same as an 1155 mounting, I ordered an 1156 mounting hardware for my Ultra and it fits just fine. You will not be disappointed, in fact you will jump for joy lol. I got the 2500K/p8p67Pro the first week they came out and I got it up to 4.9 on air, 14 hours stable and was gaming on 5.0, no problems. I returned the mobo to Asus on the 19th and got the Rev. 3 mobo today.

I was getting pretty high scary kind temps when I ran the 14 hr prime, high 80's. It idles at low to mid 40's while gaming, but I really want to try more and see what happens with h2O cooling. Can't recall the exact settings but I got my settings from reading a thread specifically for the hardware at XS.
