Ohh I hate when I go to a page and the ads are shoved in between every article, or every post. I think the way they show up here are very subtle!

But I like the idea of some split member levels for donation based, maybe like an OCC Pro membership or something along those lines, included would

I donate now, but a lot more people would donate if there was more 'perks' and maybe a few different tiers of donations?

I don't block ads unless I don't trust the website I'm looking at.

 

These people are literally PAYING to make sure that their target audience gets these ads. They are doing our shopping for us, and the least we can do is deal with some flashy new toys at the top and sides of our browsers.

Can I argue that my monitors are small and non widescreen so I need the space.

I never subscribed to any of those lists or whatever on adblock because I wanted to do it myself but so few ads show up that I don't bother adding them to my list and the ones that do show up are often on tech sites I don't often visit and end up been decent ads and not the usual garbage I assume is some sort of scam and block/ignore.

I opened up internet explorer to see what the home page was like with the ads and most of them are annoying garbage but there is one up the top for a Mushkin power supply that looks good so I might try to let that on through my filter. Not that I'm in the market for a power supply but its a nice looking ad and its relevant to the site.

Hmm that's odd. I visited every other tech site I could think of and no ads came up so I deleted all the filters in ad block and restarted the browser and the ads still wont come back. How can I try to find ads and fail?

I am the same I dont use adblock or any ad blocker...these ads are getting smarter and smarter all the time and sometimes they actually work and hook me into buying something else after I just bought something...haha

 

sometimes I just like to click and get info on what I see in the ad...its definitely not as annoying as some other sites I have gone to
