fire_storm Posted March 20, 2011 Posted March 20, 2011 (edited) AT&T agrees to buy T-Mobile USA from Deutsche Telekom for $39 billion So it looks like the wireless industry is down to 3 major cell providers assuming the merge is approved hope this doesn't mean prices are going to go up. JJRKOC Posted March 20, 2011 Posted March 20, 2011 Prices will always go up, things like this are never good for consumers.

nVidia_Freak Posted March 20, 2011 Posted March 20, 2011 I hope I get to keep the same pay-as-you-go plan...I don't have $30 a month to spend on minutes I won't use.

I suppose if this goes through it means no more unlimited data plans for t-mobile users.
Locutus Posted March 20, 2011 Posted March 20, 2011 I suppose if this goes through it means no more unlimited data plans for t-mobile users. Current users will probably be grandfathered in. For example, my uncle has an AT&T android and has had blackberries and such well beforehand, and had always had an unlimited data plan. So he still has it, and pays the same amount. XD

IVIYTH0S Posted March 20, 2011 Posted March 20, 2011 I'll say it again, I'm delighted to be on Sprint. I'm gonna go tell my friend that he's doomed now This is what I don't understand, AT&T can drop $39 billion on absorbing another company but they can't upgrade their F-in network to actually be fast, highly accessible, and capless....nope instead they'll just submit a new group suckers to their BS.
