I'm currently using http://eng.estock.fr/basketadd.php?partnumber=HI.2490C.004 and i'm looking for a replacement . I'm a computer parts illiterate , forgive me if this seems stupid .

No need to apologize my friend.

Just a few questions however:

What system do you have?

Why do you need to replace it?

How much money have you got to spend?

60-65 @ load are good temps for you chip. I would only recommend an upgrade if your thinking of overclocking.

Have you tried using Prime95 with Small FFTs? Btw what program you using to measure your temperatures?

Yea i've overclocked it already from 2.4 to 2.8.

I used Everest system stability test on full load it shows avg 63oC but realtemp @68 and coretemp @ 73 . I have no idea on which prog to trust .
