hey all,

Right now i have my p4 3.2 oc'd @ 3.47, fsb 217 (868 total) My idle temps are about 40c and under max load its around 62c. Im looking to get a better HSF setup. Im thinking about either a thermalright sp-94 or slk900u. Which one should i get, or something else all together? My aspire x-superalien case has a grip of fans, but they're not doin a whole lot. Also, what fan would you recommend to get with those sinks?

They are both fantastic heatsinks, but the sp94 is a tad bit better, because its newer. You can't go wrong with either, though.

Just as stated above, the fan to pick depends on your noise preference. If you don't care about noise, then go with a vantec tornado. I can't reiterate enough, though, how loud those things are. If you want the best noise/airflow possible, I would recommend any of the panflo fans. (that's what I use. They're great)

yeah personally i like the slk-900U because you don't have to take out the mobo to mount it but the sp-97 is basically the slk-900U with heat pipes so performs better if sound isn't a problem and i mean really u don't care i'd go 92mm tornado but if it is i'd go the 92 panflow or vantec stealth route.
