I hate the first 30s but after that... it's good. :)

Guess you would call it folk metal.  Kind of new to that genre as I lean more towards thrash and traditional metal.   Though I also been listening to a lot of Opeth as well so that might explain the tameness.

If you don't mind it being entirely in German, Subway to Sally is a good band to give a listen to. Kind of a blend of folk metal and medieval metal, uses a lot of instruments not typically heard in metal, like bagpipes and the lute.

Takes about 30 seconds to start since they are talking with the crowd before, but give it a listen if you'd like.

That is actually what I would expect to hear whenever someone tells me "folk metal".  I don't know why.

Not exactly my thing but not bad.   It's something I will listen to but not sure I would go out of my way for.   I would like to see these guys in person.

  • 2 weeks later...

Showed this to my friend and he was PUMPED when he saw it because he actually jumped with a guy in this video.  He said this took place in the Norway and I think he said some of the footage is also from Switzerland.  I asked him for some wingsuit videos but he said only the pros are willing to take on the potential snag risk.  But he may give me some skydiving videos for me to use in my mixes.
