Wrong, and I've already said this :P

All you're doing is constantly saying "wrong" without backing it up with any evidence, or even a modicum of thought. On any other forum, if I didn't know you, I'd flag you as a troll.

I don't think there is any such video on youtube. There are Cryengine 2 PC vs Cryengine 3 Console videos but that's not what we're talking about.

the last time i tried to run gta4 was with a 260, i have the episodes from liberty city but i havent even installed it yet.

visually stunning doesn't always mean that it is super intensive, games like gothic4 are beautiful, but really dont tax too much

wasn't 2 days to vegas supposed to be insane?

Crytek president and creative director, Cevat Yerli, has spoken about their upcoming New York-based first person shooter and how the traditional PC version is actually benefiting from its multiplatform development.

“You have to understand that the budget for Crysis was much lower than for Crysis 2,” he says. “We could spend much more on Crysis 2 because we expected to sell more through multiplatform development.”

PC-only gamers feeling like the PS3 and Xbox 360 are hampering videogame development can at least rest easy with Crysis 2. “PC gamers will get a better game out of that, it isn’t just take, it’s also give,” says Yerli.

Indeed, although screenshots of the PC version are still elusive (it’s been all 360 so far) that platform will still see one worthy of the much more capable graphics cards and larger memory capacities, and that it won’t be hamstrung by ‘console control systems’:

“Crysis 2 doesn’t suffer from that, in my opinion,” he says. “It’s superior [to Crysis] from every angle.”

Crysis 2 will be PC optimized so it won’t lack any of the juicy graphics. Remember, Crysis 2 is not a port from PS3 or Xbox 360 therefore PC will be the real showcase for it. Bottom line is, if you don’t have the latest graphic card on your PC you won’t enjoy Crysis 2 to the fullest. As it said before, a high end graphic card costs almost as a console, so if you can’t afford the latest hardware PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 will provide solid gaming experience for Cyrsis 2.

The sequel will require less while providing more. Sounds like a good woman.

During his keynote speech at the India Game Developer Summit 2010 last month, Carl Jones, director of global business development at Crytek, said that Crysis 2 will have lower system requirements and better graphics than the original Crysis PC game.

http://www.computerandvideogames.com/241253/news/crysis-2-has-best-graphics-youve-ever-seen/

Crytek has claimed that Crysis 2 contains the best graphics in the history of video games.

Yes, it's a bold statement - especially as the studio has admitted some teething problems getting its power-hungry CRYEngine 3 to work on consoles.

But it's adamant that it has something pretty special on its hands - and even prettier than the stunning original Crysis on PC.

And that's not all - the studio also reckons Crysis 2 offers a "complete gaming experience like no other".

Just for you Clay ;) I really hope that all of this complaining that Crytek have sold out, gotten consolitis, abandoning PC gamers, etc. will now cease :D Yes?

Thank you for actually providing some worthwhile links, however the complaints that Crysis 2 will suffer consolitis isn't going to go away just because Crytek has SAID the PC version will be all well and good. Until we actually SEE video proof, we do not know for sure the Crysis 2 will indeed look better than Crysis. Crysis looks better than Console-version Crysis 2, so until we see PC-version Crysis 2, all we have is Crytek's word.

You will never play Oblivion with the graphics/texture mods and AEVWD at good framerates. Though I get maybe 25 in mountains and suffer through it in order to see all the awesome forts and stuff from anywhere.

You "only" have an HD 5870 :P

I bet a GTX 580 could handle it, maybe the HD 6970 has the edge for this though due to more memory(Oblivion is a large world).

Anyways, Metro2033 is probably the most intensive game currently that has not been modded.

I've only played a couple of hours of it, but it's a gorgeous game and got great reviews. It's a very dark game though, so the graphics are more dreary than Crysis. As for Crysis, there are mods to improve textures and whatnot, so if you haven't done so already, you can try out those to get even more eye candy.

I'd say, if you want a recent game that is visually stunning and was a great game overall, go grab Batman: Arkham Asylum. The only caveat is that since you have AMD cards and not NVIDIA, you won't get all the PhysX goodness. But the game is still awesome.

Curious about this. Can you use a dedicated PhysX engine with The AMD trifire to get the "PhysX goodness" ?

You mean buying a cheap NVIDIA card just for PhysX? Should be able to, but obviously I haven't tried it since I have an NVIDIA card.
