Question about my pc preformance

Recommended Posts

Hello recently I bought a new pc its .

CPU : AMD Athlon II X4 635 2.9

MB: GA-870A UD3

RAM: 2 x 2 GB Kingston HyperX 1600mhz

VGA: ASUS ENGTX 275 DDR3 896MB

HHD: 1TB WD Black 32mb 7200rpm

PSU: XILENCE 600W Win7 Ultimate

I turn on my games and the FPS was very bad atleast i think so. The game is CoD2 I have 200-240 FPS on dx7 on dx9 its 60-100FPS . I have some friends with lower PC's having better FPS than me and its not only on this game the same is on Metro , F.E.A.R , CoD WaW and MW2 , GTA IV i know the pc is not that good but i think the preformance must be better especially on CoD2 . I tryed many things but no change sometimes even gets wors . If anyone can help me I will be very Thankfull . Cheers!

This should be in the video card section but oh well . Are you running v-sync ? What drivers are you using ?

Is your friend running the same resolution and settings ? Is his overclocked and what graphics card does he have ?

Well, some games are limited by the game engine they're built on. If you're only getting 100fps in an old game such as Call Of Duty 2, the game engine might have a limiter on it.

Also it's spelled performance. Sorry, it's just one of those things i have to point out.

As long as you're not getting under 60 fps who cares, if you both have 60hz refresh rates and her get's 1000fps and you get 65fps it will look the same with vsync on
