sack_patrol Posted October 5, 2010 Posted October 5, 2010 (edited) I need some potentiometers, but I'm not sure where exactly to go look for them. Maybe someone from around here can suggest a place... I don't want to go through the trouble of ordering such a small thing online. This what the potentiometers I'm looking for looks like Edited October 5, 2010 by ballist1x
Psywar Posted October 5, 2010 Posted October 5, 2010 Back when I used to build Rheo-bus's/Baybus's for PC's I used to do all my shopping @ allelectronics.com I have not shopped their in years though. But they "should" have anything and everything you can think of.
hardnrg Posted October 5, 2010 Posted October 5, 2010 I assume you live in the US, check the Components section here: http://forums.overclockersclub.com/index.php?showtopic=78708 You'll probably have trouble finding many different values of multi-turn pots in a retail store... even though I live in the UK, I've ordered a lot of components from Digikey, Mouser, Newark, etc.
Waco Posted October 5, 2010 Posted October 5, 2010 Digikey would be my suggestion. Partsexpress might be a good choice as well (since it's an audio-related component as well).
paulktreg Posted October 5, 2010 Posted October 5, 2010 I can't see you finding them off the shelf in many stores. The Bournes type 15 turn trimmers are pretty specialised and you'll probably have to order on line. If you'll settle for a slightly different design and only 10 turn there are a few Chinese/Hong Kong based companies offering them on Ebay for only a few dollars for ten. slugbug Posted October 6, 2010 Posted October 6, 2010 The place in Montreal to check would be http://www.addison-electronique.com/home.htm I've never been there but an electronics guy I used to know raved about it.
