E13thirty7 Posted September 29, 2010 Posted September 29, 2010 With an Intel system, is it preferred to have RAM with higher frequencies, tighter timing, or a balanced combination of both? Was told that Intel benefitted more from higher clocked frequencies and speeds over tighter timings while AMD on the other hand suggests tighter timings over speeds. Tighter timings would IMO yield better real world performance over faster speed, It does help to have faster memory so you can voerclock and have room to drop your speeds and tighten timings. I dont think it makes a difference between AMD and Intel.
