Smallville8vdm Posted August 10, 2010 Posted August 10, 2010 are you going to use sli later on
The Smith Posted August 10, 2010 Posted August 10, 2010 Yeah. One has an NVIDIA chipset and is SLI-ready, and the other has an AMD chipset and is CrossFire ready. Besides that, the 890GPA overclocks a tiny bit better. I've tested both personally. The NF980-G65 does not feature USB 3.0 and SATA III also. All in all, take the NF980-G65 only if you plan on running SLI later on.
BiLLiO333 Posted August 10, 2010 Posted August 10, 2010 no plans on SLI so I'm gonna grab the 890GA. another question... is it neccesary to install a heatsink? i always thought one would come stock... i dont want my new computer frying out on me from day one
AddictedGamer93 Posted August 10, 2010 Posted August 10, 2010 (edited) Cpu's almost always come with heatsinks, the only way they dont is if you buy an OEM cpu, which is just the cpu by itself. But the heatsink included with the X6 will be fine as long as you dont want to overclock.
