Bizzlenitch Posted August 7, 2010 Posted August 7, 2010 Currently using Avira AntiVir Premium. Like it more than any other antivirus I've used in the past.
bennymx Posted August 7, 2010 Posted August 7, 2010 I see. I didn't put that in the poll sorry. I don't pay for mine so i use what ever is the easiest to get serials for or if a new crack or patch has been released. Only software I've paid for on my PC is my games so i can play online. No worries. It was covered just fine in the "Other" category.
Avinexis Posted August 7, 2010 Posted August 7, 2010 Comodo Internet Security Premium here. Don't worry, it's relatively unknown, and if you don't mind I may use this forum for my own benefit too
Nyt Posted August 7, 2010 Posted August 7, 2010 (edited) Currently using Avira AntiVir Premium. Like it more than any other antivirus I've used in the past. +1 , same here ! Have not had any problems with it. I used bit defender , it corrupted my system . I also used Nortons and it let through a Trojan . There is a free Avira too , and that works fine as well. bennymx Posted August 7, 2010 Posted August 7, 2010 The top ones imo are Norton, Bitdefender, ESET and Kaspersky. I see now a lot of people are using the lesser known brands.
damian Posted August 7, 2010 Posted August 7, 2010 At the moment, none. It's somewhat secure using Firefox and common sense. Great combination in my opnion! Although, im sure i can still catch a virus other than browsing the internet. So when it does happen I'll choose between MSE, AVG, Avira, and or Panda. I've yet to try Gdata but i hear it's good, might give it a try someday.

Neither proved as effective as Avira as my system picked up malware while using both. No problems since, however. Considered the free version of Avira as I'd heard good things about it but decided to go with the Premium version. Can't really give a good reason why though... wasn't sweating the thirty bucks, I guess.
