Donno... don't have 2K here at the moment... May go out to the training center tomorrow and see what it does. I'm trying to find more info on it as we speak.

OSNews.com had an article with that link, but no info about it.

The article was just posted an hour or two ago...

MS may have just uploaded it to the server so they could announce it tomorrow or Thurs (Aug 1)...

As of right this min, the MS Win2K SP page has not been updated with any info on SP3... That page, cane be found here.

Though... I could take a wild guess as to what this SP does...

- Fixed bugs introduced with Windows 9x and NT 3.x/4.0

- Fixed bugs introduced with Windows 2000

- Fixed bugs introduced with Windows 2000 SP1

- Fixed bugs introduced with Windows 2000 SP2

- Fixed general bugs known with Windows

- Introduced more bugs

- Changed a pixel on the Win 2K splash screen

- Decreased the blue screen time display, it was reported that 2K would display a BSOD far to often. This has been fixed.

- Added more code that cannot be removed

- Included .NET framework and SDK

- Added a feature that would allow Windows to bipass most major firewalls and routers thus allowing the upload of anonimus information to MS

- Reset all ADO and local security settings to default

- Enabled gust account

- Disabled Admin account

- Renamed both accounts

These updates are a collection of fixes in the following areas: application compatibility, operating system reliability, security, and setup. Windows 2000 SP3 includes the updates contained in Windows 2000 Service Pack 1 (SP1) and Windows 2000 SP2 (SP2). Windows 2000 SP3 is not considered a required upgrade. To determine whether to install Windows 2000 SP3, Microsoft recommends that customers review the Windows 2000 SP3 documentation
