Hi guys,

Need a power supply and not sure which among those 3 would be better.

One important question, is there any one that is significantly better than the rest? Currently leaning towards the ThermalTake Toughpower 1000w.

Thanks,

Jiv

My vote went to the Corsair simply because of the outstanding luck I've had with the TX650 - TX750 - TX850 units I've used or installed.

Any reason you are leaning towards a 1000W unit though? Based on your sig you don't need anywhere near that capacity.

well, might get them from a friend for a really good price. Atleast I'll never have to worry abt the psu for a couple of years. :D

The corsair HX1000 is one of Corsairs worst power supplies... though it is still very good, but just not as good as the other Corsair power supplies.

I personally like the ENERMAX REVOLUTION85+ 1050W and so does JonnyGuru.

I have no idea how you came to this conclusion. On most reviews I read on the HX1000 it tested out at 90%+ efficiency at 100% load. jonny guru gave it a very good rating.

The Thermaltakes are very decent also. Thermaltage PSU division produces one of the better products they carry. The HX1000 is a better PSU IMO. The Enermax is a friggin kick butt product but they are a bit pricey. The HX1000 is down to $229 at NewEgg. Is the Enermax worth $55 more? To me no but to some yes.

My vote goes to Corsair, simply because I'm running 2 units by them right now and a close personal friend is running one also, and they all perform flawlessly. I have however read a lot of good reviews about the Thermaltake PSU's also.

If you are after one being significantly better then it's very hard to call.

Have a look at the Corsair AX series.
