GabrielT Posted July 29, 2010 Posted July 29, 2010 I would say that that is the nicest computer that is not in an an actual case as most of us think of it. I was thinking about doing something like that myself but I don't have a nice enough desk to do it in. Thank you for posting that. damian Posted July 29, 2010 Posted July 29, 2010 Wow that's very cool. How long did it take you to build it?
krazypoloc Posted July 29, 2010 Posted July 29, 2010 Awesome work! I have always considered doing something like this but have never been at a permanent enough location. When I finally buy a house 100% of my A/V gear and PC's are going in a server rack thats in a closet.
F13Bubba Posted July 29, 2010 Posted July 29, 2010 Absolutely sick, my friend. I really like the way the hard drives are mounted, I presume it makes it easy to swipe drives if, and when needed.
Guest_Jim_* Posted July 29, 2010 Posted July 29, 2010 Awesome job. I've been thinking about doing something like that for a few months (really I have). In fact, I brought some stuff with me to work today to work some more on designing it. I see that you mounted the optical beneath a self, and am curious as to how you did that. Specifically what you did to hold it there, because that's what I would want to do, if I ever build the thing. Do you use brackets like for the PSU? How loud does it get, with it at the same level as your head? Really this is an awesome job, and may help me work on my thing. You know, if it can be cone once, why can't I do it.
