Access time (combined with throuput of course) is where it's at with SSD's and you aren't gonna touch 0.1ms with any mechanical drive. Wouldn't short stroking improve access times?? I just can't justify paying the price for a SSD yet. WD RE's are a little more expensive than Caviar Black, but the I/O and read/seek time is definitely worth it.
