I voted shooters based on the fact that I have 500 hours in MW2. I play alot of RPG's as well but the hours into playthroughs of DAO for instance don't come close to that of MW2. I added all my time in DAO and it was around 120 hours.

I voted 'I don't play video games' because I very very rarely play them, and I haven't owned any for years... however if I'm at a friend's we would generally play shooters (MW2, etc) and sports games (FIFA, WWE, etc)

However, my favourite type to play would be stuff like Heavy Rain & Bioshock.

as of lately its been alot of shooters and rpgs i have like 150 hours on both Mass Effects and Fallout 3, but i have around 300 hours on a whole bunch of FPS. Now back in the day i would have chosen Racing games.

All those playthroughs of DAO and only 120 hours? I have two characters who are approaching 80 combined and neither one has finished the game yet... :P

I picked RPGs because those were the first games I ever played and I just can't get enough of them. I use to mostly play FPS games when I was in a clan but once we stopped playing two core games it all ended.. and I went back to RPGs. :P I do play RTS games a ton but RPGs just eat up so many hours. Oblivion has one character at 125 hours.. three total characters at ~230 hours. Fallout 3 has four characters that total ~210 hours. Then there are the countless Final Fantasy games, KotOR I and II, Mass Effect 1 and 2, Legend of Dragoon, Baldur's Gate I and II.. far too many hours.

My first character was around 80 with the expansion, 2nd was around 50, obviously I knew the quests so it was easier. Plus I was a mage which is overpowering and didn't need to reload as much.

Ahhhh, got it. I haven't played a mage yet, just a warrior and rogue. The mage will be on the next playthrough.. I already have some modded weapons that would be perfect for him.

The mage is a lot of fun. If you do the Arcane Warrior you become unstoppable. You get to wear the armor that warriors do. I put on the blood dragaon armor and ruled butt. You also get to use the spellweaver sword and the better shileds. Spells with awesome melee equals big trouble for darkspawn.

Stop making me want to start a mage before I finish the second character! It sounds so sweet..

Basically it's boiled down to only 3 games for me over the past year... Battlefield 2, Audiosurf and sometimes a good round of Age Of Empires 2! Very rarely I might fire up Command & Conquer Generals, but it's been like 80% BF2, 15% Audiosurf and 5% AOE2 for the past year
