Interesting card, if it will overclock enough it may be a real good value leader.

In folding at home, with a 470, I am getting about 1050 ns/day anyone check theirs?

I'm interested to see how it does, but I'm kinda disappointed it doesn't atleast have as much memory as a 260 (896MB)

There will be two versions, one with 768MB and another with 1GB.

The official release date is this Wednesday and Newegg was carrying the GTX 465 early as well if I remember right.

The "Add to cart" totally threw me. no where on any of them does it mention that they wont ship it / you cant buy it until the 12th.

at the risk of sounding stupid. why didn't they just go with 1 type of 460? why couldn't they just make the 1gb model? i find the memory sizes nvidia use annoying. i know there is a reason, (something to do with the shaders or clusters or something?) but making two versions of the same card where the difference in memory amount is 232MB is IMO stupid. Especially when you compare it how ati tend to release a card with 500MB initially and then releasing a 1GB model later or 1GB model intially and a 2Gb model down the track.

my sentiments exactly, one or the other (and if the lower amount it should atleast match the 260 in memory, why would they cut a corner and take a step back from last generation??)

Anyway, I'll put a sock in it until we see how it performs

These cards are supposed to match the GTX 465, if thats true then the 5770 will lose badly.

Assuming the price we're seeing is actually what it'll cost, finding a 5770 cheaper than $150 is childs play
