Would I be correct in assuming that those are radioshack connectors? Looks great :)

Nope! Nothing from radioshack. I ordered just about everything from here: http://www.performanceaudio.com/cgi/product_view.cgi?products_id=14932

The banana plugs are Marshall Electronics, if that means anything. http://www.mars-cam.com/cables/generic_con/me_p26.html

Well...bummer. I've got static on my receiver's left channel. Our cats have a habit of...well, jumping behind my audio equipment and getting stuck...and of course, ripping wires out while trying to get out

I had a feeling I'd be going back to an amplifier sometime; however, I didn't really think it would be because of a reason like this. Guess it's time to craigslist the 'pioneer and look for something else. I've had my eye on an onkyo A-9555 for some while now ('bout $450). We'll see. I'll probably build a temporary enclosure to keep the furry critters out...

Oh yeah, more pics! Excuse my furry legs!

Strip!

Put pants on (much easier with packing tape on the wires!):

Post some pics of your system. I used to run a pair of Thiel 2.3 speakers from a Jolida tube amp. Sounded amazing for music and surprising it was amazing for movies as well.

Also, check out this website. It is a community of Audiophiles that sell their used gear. You can pick up some of the best brands around at a great price. Used to be where I got all my gear. http://www.audiogon.com/

Yeah, I was just browsing audiogon today. None of my current stuff is really high end...and I'm probably going to wait until I'm out of apartment living before I fully consider changing that.

My gear is currently messy, so, I'll refrain from posting pictures about that until I build (or buy) a moderate enclosure. My speaker stands are computer cases at the moment :whistling: That, and the desk that we use is barely large enough for my HDTV, no place for the keyboards or mice (yes, plural).

Current gear:

Pioneer VSX-515k

BIC-DV62si bookshelves
