andrusk Posted January 20, 2004 Posted January 20, 2004 If your gonna make the switch from gui to console i recommend you use the console as a service. That way itll operate in the background and the console wont be taking up your desktop space.
caffeinejunkie Posted January 20, 2004 Posted January 20, 2004 One time p2 did one in 3 days it was cool. But it does about one a week normally if i can overclock it to 300mhz maybe i can get 1 in 5 days lol
CheeseMan42 Posted January 20, 2004 Posted January 20, 2004 to those people that need ram you should look in the office max paper on the weekend. i got my 256mb pc2100 kingston for 9.99 each after rebates. i know some people dont like to bother with rebates but i like em. officemax also gives stuff out for free after rebates, but it usually isn't that expensive. at christmas, however, i saw a cd burner, jump drive, leather chair, ram, cds. so it may be worthwhile for you to check out. And refresh my memory on how to install it. Thanks, David

InvaderTrax Posted January 20, 2004 Posted January 20, 2004 My PII is made mostly parts I already had. Old hard drive, RAM from a previous project, processor pulled from a dead Dell, cables... Dell. All I really had to buy was a board and a case

InvaderTrax Posted January 20, 2004 Posted January 20, 2004 I bet in the next year, Taz will almost step up to modern times and get a 933MHz PIII. Still less than 1GHz, but a lot faster than what he's been working with
