O(V)eGA_l2el) Posted January 18, 2004 Posted January 18, 2004 Ok, I have the Valve Premier Pack and Half Life 2 coupon that was bundled with my 9600Xt. Once I install Steam and install half life, counter strike, etc, will I be able to play those games offline or are they online only? sYstEmATiC Posted January 18, 2004 Posted January 18, 2004 halflife, opposing force, and blueshift are silgle player, but you can play them online also, the rest like cs are multiplayer only.

Duff Man Posted January 20, 2004 Posted January 20, 2004 (edited) Now dont turn and kill me for saying this but I've had prety good luck with steam... But than agian I am running it on my mom's e-mashit 600 and you all know the e-machine moto: "Crap makes crap work" (or somthing like that... ) Edited January 20, 2004 by Duff Man
Ghost2520 Posted January 20, 2004 Posted January 20, 2004 I had a LOT of problems with Steam back when it was beta, then I uninstalled it and quit using it. After they released it, it worked perfectly with no problems whatsoever, then my hard drive died and I fear that once I install it that it won't work. What I found fixed some problems is that go into the steam folder and use the uninstall thing in there. After that delete the Steam folder, restart and reinstall. Ghost2520 Posted January 20, 2004 Posted January 20, 2004 I've never seen a program with more problems than steam. I think they planned it that way. They sat down and said "How can we make a program that will be more frustrating to run HL mods than any other program ever made?" Well I think they succeded.
