ponchinGdl Posted May 4, 2010 Posted May 4, 2010 Hello, i've been folowing this site from some time but this is my first post, it's been a while since i build a system from scratch, and this is my first OC but I think it turned out ok, i would apreciate comments from more experienced guys like you, so here are the specs: CPU: i5 750 OC @ 3.8 GHZ MOTHERBOARD: GIGABYTE GA-P55A-UD4P VIDEO: Sapphire HD5770 vaporX HD: 60GB SSD supertalent - 500GB Western 7200 rpm MEMORY: 8GB SUPERTALENT 1600 (4X2 GB DUAL CHANNEL) PSU: COOLERMASTER EXTREME POWER 600 WATT CASE: COOLERMASTER HAF932 CPU COOLER: COOLERMASTER V8 MOUSE: COOLERMASTER SENTINEL 5600 DPI KEYBOARD: LOGITECH G15 GAMING LCD KEYBOARD MONITOR: GATEWAY 24 @ 1920 X 1200 + VIEWSONIC VP 19 @ 1280 X 1024 The cpu settings are 1.225 vcore , bus speed 200 , mult 19, tested with intelburn for one hour for a max 78C, ambient temperature is 30C. hd5770 is OC at 945 for the gpu and 1345 for the memory (860/1200 stock) After an hour of Metro 2033 on directx 11 and settings at very high @ 1280 x 768 temp goes a max 60C and im getting 30 fps avg with a minimum 26 fps. PSU gets really loud and i dont have many options to choose from (i live in mexico), i wonder if thermaltake should be any better (and quiet)? I'm gona keep tuning the hd5770 and start OC the memory, if anyone have any experience with these brand of memory i would apreciate any tips. nns Posted May 8, 2010 Posted May 8, 2010 I'd suggest you go for better Coolermaster PSUs (like realpower) if you don't have OCZ, Corsair, Enermax etc available in Mexico.. i5 750 does tend to get very hot while OCing.. Check the temps in the online reviews to get a better picture..
