Hey every one built my 1st pc the other day went together like a dream. But as well and SLI and over clocking I am just a wee bit slow. I did not go all out for my 1st build. but what I did end up getting was a ASUS P5N-D with two 8800 gts gpu's with a core 2 duo 3.33 and 4 gigs of plan jane ram(getting better soon) but I was wondering with the P5N-D i am having temp problems with the MB my CPU is running ok. On start up my CPU is at 36 and my mb is at 40ish I have the Cm 690 nvidia case with a corsair h50 on the CPU. But when I have both GPUs in there it seams like there right on top of each other and it would seem to me that the one GPU on top will be getting hot. But back to the case I have all fans in there one on the bottom pulling air in one on front pulling air in then the two top ones pulling air out and the one on the back for the CPU pulling air out as well. But this morning I was looking at XFX nForce 680i SLI and the major question with that is can I run just a sli set up with one of the cards up top and one on the bottom pci ports. Thanks for any help and any pointers.

(will upload pics soon)

Welcome to OCC! For the price you would have been better off getting a single more powerful card. But since you already got the cards instead of moving them I would suggest download Rivatuner or a program like it to monitor temps and fan speeds, if temp are too high crank up the fans in the GPU's manually.
