hermes09 Posted April 25, 2010 (edited) I'm starting my life as college student and want to have a system with gaming capabilities with budget under $1000 anyone kind enough to give advice? I am fan of AMD (well, sorry about that) and thinking of AMD Athlon II with graphic from NVIDIA and i'd like to buy GeForce GTX 480. Any other suggestion? Any suggestion are welcomed. included the cases and other hardware. EDIT: I would prefer if you could give me suggestion with FULL hardware like the monitor and so on, and yes, below OR $1000 EDIT: If you think GTX 480 too pricey change with Radeon 58xx or 57xx series and i'd like a motherboard with 890 Series Chipset from AMD or 790FX Series Chipset (I'm basically not an IGP(eg. 790GX) fan). Also, I'm not really into encoding video thingy nor Photo Editing so i don't really need a processor with Quad core but the suggestion are welcomed. EDIT(Again): I was thinking of ASUS Crosshair IV but no, thus this came to my mind: ASUS Crosshair III [email protected]$275 XFX [email protected]$315 TRENDSONIC Hummer - [email protected]$69.5 WESTERN DIGITAL 500GB 7200 [email protected]$67 LG [email protected]$29.5 COOLER MASTER Silent Pro 700 [email protected]$135 A-DATA 4GB Kit [email protected]$122 Total $1013 Any other suggestion?
