I finally got my new GPU'S! 2 EVGA 480GTX's

Recommended Posts

Ok so at around the time of my birthday this year (13th January) I bought myself a EVGA classified motherboard with the plan of builduing a new gameing comp. At first I planned on useing my old Zotac 260GTX's in sli, ao I went along and ended up spending a lot of money on my new computer the anitial cost was about $4100AUD. This was when I heard that Nvidia was going to be releaseing there new gpu's the 400 series in March and of course being the power hungry person I am, I couldn't wait for them to be released. :P So on Friday the 27th March (This was when they were released in Australia) I jumped on my computer at around 10am and saw that they were selling the EVGA 480gtx's for around $850AUD each, I contemplated only buying one for about 1minute and then my finger slipped  and I ended up ordering two by accident....

The website i ordered it from said there was a ETA of the 14th of April, which was fine with me because I new I would be getting them regardless :). Sadly on the 1st of April I recieved an Email from the company I purchased them from saying that only 10 GTX480'S!!!! would be sent to Australia by the 14th of April and that I would have to wait until the end of the month to get mine....

At first I was extremeley pissed off to say the least, but eventually I got over it. So on the 14th of April I was sitting playing some wow on my $4100AUD comp when I got this email stateing that my EVGA gtx480's had been sent and would arrive in the mail in around 2-5days, well it took 6days but THEY FINALLY ARRIVED!!!!

So without further adoo, here are some pics of my video cards...

That's awesome that they did that. I've heard that pccg has great customer service and this backs it up. i don't know of any other place that would refund you in a similar situation.

Id have to agree, thye might not always have the best prices but I will always go back to them because of how efficient they are and there customer service is superior to a lot of other places...

Thats sexy! I have a question for you though... it looks like you have some space between your cards, I'm assuming for airflow. Does that mean you're running one card in the x16 slot and one in the x8 slot? Or is your board laid out in such a way that you can get both cards in x16 slots?

There all x16 slots.... Don't quote me on that though.

most tri sli boards have the two x16 slots at the top and the bottom and a x8 in the middle (atleast as far as im aware)
