(Maybe you know this but) usually the mobo manufacturer and model number is found stamped or screenprinted inbetween the PCI slots. Did it come out of a proprietary machine like a Dell/Compaq/HP/brand name box? If so, the main clue might be the model number of the computer itself, ie. 'Compaq 4070' or some such.

i don't know what machine it came from, as i had it given along with a p3 1ghz cpu

and the numbers i listed are the only numbers/names on the board

ahh well nevermind i'll just get a crappy case and put it to folding use

does anyone know what mobo the PackardBell imedia comp has (for a friend), it has a 1700+ and uses sdram, also what do you call the "small" AGP slots it has one of those too, I checked it but it only has numbers (like above) and also uses a via chipset

:withstupid:

The "small AGP slot" does NOT have anything to do with graphics. The only similarity is that they are both brown. *sorry for venting, I've just seen the term "small AGP" used wayyy too often lately*

That's an AMR or CNR slot - to plug in cheap-o, crap-o modems or sound cards.
