Sadly, 3-D is all the range right now. It's made a resurgence in the movies, which in turn has brought it to BRD & DVD. And now we'll be getting more sporting events, movies, and TV shows broadcast in 3-D. Nintendo even plans to release a 3-D version of the DS handheld.

With all the hype around 3-D lately, will you be buying a 3-D TV or monitor? That's this week's poll question.

"I will NOT buy a 3-D TV or monitor."

Costs way too much. A 22" monitor + nvidia glasses is 500€. When the technology is more common and cheaper then I will buy one.

Can't say what the future will bring, but right now I have no interest in 3D and have to admit have not even seen anything in 3D. But who knows how the technology will roll, maybe 3D will become the standard in the future.

Sadly? It's not exactly proper to portray your own opinion in a poll :P

3D has definitely improved from what it used to be, where all they did was try to THROW things out at you. Now it's more about immersing you in the environment. Avatar was absolutely stunning in 3D. The only other movie I've seen in 3D was UP.

As long as they release 2D versions of the movies alongside the 3D ones, I have no problem with this trend. It gives consumers a choice, and having a choice is never a bad thing.

As for this poll, I voted "undecided" because you failed to provide any time frame. If your question is whether I'd purchase one within a year, then it would be "no", but if it's whether I'd ever purchase one in my lifetime, then if this trend continues, I don't see why I wouldn't.

I will not be buying into 3-D. I agree with Kash, it's a total gimmick.

..besides, everything I've seen in "3-D" has made me feel nauseous.

my ole 2-D TV(s) and Monitor(s) can display a 3 dimensional enough image for me. :)

I watched Clash of the Titans this weekend. First movie I have seen in 3D. Left theater with a headache. No thanks. Looked like crap too. Not interested at all.

I have the nvidia 3d vision setup and regret buying it every day. I never use it because it actually makes games harder to play. Its extremely hard to focus on a specific thing you need to click due to the different depth of field each item is at and depending on the game the mouse might be at a different depth (usually 0) so that sucks. Also there is always a double image at the edges of the screen so that is also annoying. It might be better when they make 30 inch 3d monitors and make them affordable. But right now its just not worth it and only detracts from your entertainment. Oh and any time there is a reflection/glare in a game it will look really crappy and annoying because each eye sees a very different reflection, that just looks bad when put together.
