feetfats Posted April 3, 2010 Posted April 3, 2010 http://www.overclockersclub.com/news/26390/ pretty crazy stuff... 11 SSDs in RAID0 Why didn't they just use 10?
CowKing Posted April 3, 2010 Posted April 3, 2010 Why didn't they just use 10? hell why not just use 20....or
hardnrg Posted April 3, 2010 Posted April 3, 2010 The card used supports 12 drives, so 12 would have made more sense... for that card... I don't understand why Corsair didn't make use of multiple RAID cards
sdy284 Posted April 3, 2010 Posted April 3, 2010 Why didn't they just use 10? isn't it obvious? 11 is one better i even put that in the article to explain

hardnrg Posted April 3, 2010 Posted April 3, 2010 I don't think they're very expensive if you are Mr Corsair and are trying to beat the world
sdy284 Posted April 3, 2010 Posted April 3, 2010 i know, but that's the best reason i have
feetfats Posted April 4, 2010 Posted April 4, 2010 (edited) hardnrg has a very strong and valid point that I really did not expect to come up in this debate. 12 is a lot better than 11. I was all about 11 being better then 10, and it still is, but it is clear that 12 beats them both hands down and for that fact alone 12 SSD's should have been used. Why anyone would waste their time with 10 or 11 of anything completely boggles my mind when 12 is significantly better. sdy284 Posted April 4, 2010 Posted April 4, 2010 i'm sure they have a good reason, as hardnrg pointed out... it's not like they were on a budget and i sent their PR dept an email about it. Let's see if I get a response
dr_bowtie Posted April 4, 2010 Posted April 4, 2010 yea why not add in another card and 12 more SSDs...? I mean come on you have slots left...why not use them all... If we are going for a record and absurd then populate all slots with RAID cards and SSDs right...?
