32GB RAM Modules!

Recommended Posts

Just incase you didn't see it:

http://www.overclockersclub.com/news/26348/

Oh boy what I'd do to get a few of those modules....

I wonder if they'd work in standard motherboards, the reason being they say 'supports up to 16GB of RAM' - so if you put a 32GB module, would it or wouldn't it work? (These are Registered modules (they haven't specified if they have ECC yet, so they should work right?))

imagine a few of these on a EVGA Classified SR-2 motherboard

I'd go Intel for that. One in each slot and we're talk 382GB! I could store my whole computer in that!

Too bad it only supports 48GB. (Maybe the Classified SR-3 will fix this obvious bug )

well considering that 1x8gb stick of ECC ram is ~$500 i can't wait to see the 4 digit price of a 32gb stick

A 16GB Module of DDR3 RAM costs between $1200-1500. So I'd expect a 32GB to be around, say $3000-5000?

Exciting stuff ^_^
