Official OCC "Free to a good home" Thread

I agree with both Andrewr05 and Speedway. Just one google document where people can write their own username, and add/remove what they have to give. That'd probably be the easiest, fastest and cheapest way to do it.

maybe Google Docs :whistling:

That is a very good idea.

That way we can all edit it whenever we want and make it coherent.

Though I do think we need a few chosen trustworthy people to act as quasi-moderators, just because it'll need a few to accept all of the people adding themselves into it.

Plus you can make any changes to the list send out an email and have it be kind of like a newsletter of some sort.

We'll see what happens.

(Sent with my phone as I'm gone from home for the weekend, so it probably is filled with errors and such)

I have a ATA/133 7200 RPM 160GB Maxtor HDD and it is no longer compatible with any systems I own. Worth to little to bother putting it on ebay. I can probably just give it away to someone if they can actually use it and arent going to just ebay it off. I want someone to actually use it. What I could use is a really cheapo 250-300 watt psu to replace on my old 3.8ghz pentium 4 system. Maybe someone will be nice and help a brother out. I dont mean it has to be a trade for mine. I am willing to just give away the HDD just hope someone will return my karma.

It's a 3.5" internal bare drive.

Also fair warning I think my brother left a lot of porn on it. So I guess think of that as a freebie if you are into rly old grainy internet porn. Probably some old games on it too.

This just my way of saying thanks to OCC members for answering my questions. Does anyone even use the old PATA connection HDD's anymore? Not even sure the last motherboard that had pata connection and not sure if you need something special for the ata/133 speed drives comes with the ribbon cable. I hope someone has a good use for it. I'd feel better if someone can prove they are actually gonna use it and not just sell it. I will be mad if some 1 takes it and sells it for profit, thats not what this is about!

Pentium 3s are pretty rare, from what I've seen. He might be better off just buying an ultra budget used rig off ebay or something maybe?

Geeks.com has Pwwntium 4 systems from $30 to $159, Pentium Dual cores for %119 to $164, Pentiem Duo cores for $119 to $149. They're a good  company to deal with, fast shipping and good items.
