DevilMB3017 Posted January 15, 2004 Posted January 15, 2004 Well guys, I finally got my RAM in today and decided to run some tests. I did that, now its gotta burn in before more tests. You'll see much higher clocks in about a month I hope. All these were stable enough to run various SANDRA tests. Benchmarks and more pics to be shown in about a month, as said. Here's some eye candy...

FuZziELiTLpAnDa Posted January 16, 2004 Posted January 16, 2004 i have a question: i see many people on here who have the abit nf7-s with ram greater than pc3200. how is this possible when the manual states that the dimm slots support up to pc3200? DevilMB3017 Posted January 16, 2004 Posted January 16, 2004 Cooling, it was a tornado at full speed on a TR ALX800, with the window wide open. (Near 0F today) I was talkin to Xero before and I'm gonna try the 9.5 multi and see how high the FSB will really go. And as for the RAM, the highest stock rating for the NF7-S is PC3200, but overclocking the FSB and running in 1:1 with the memory gives higher the DDR400 (PC3200)
ClayMeow Posted January 16, 2004 Posted January 16, 2004 i have a question: i see many people on here who have the abit nf7-s with ram greater than pc3200. how is this possible when the manual states that the dimm slots support up to pc3200? also, you can't always go by what the manual says, unfortunately. Odds are, when the nf7-s was first manufactured/produced, pc3200 was the fastest RAM available, and thus to be safe, they don't state anything above that, as they weren't able to test their board with it. Their website may update the specs, but i'm not sure. Just a matter of trial and error i guess.
