[Help] Asus V-EVO and Corsair DHX 1600Mhz memory

Recommended Posts

Hello from Brazil!

Yestarday I made a memory upgrade on my PC, it was running Kingston DDR3 1333Mhz memories (2x 2gb) and I upgraded to Corsair XMS3 DHX 1600Mhz.

I chose the DHX cause it was at a good price and available with no delivery delays....I also saw this review

http://www.overclock3d.net/reviews/memory/...-1600_4gb_kit/1

My problem is that I couldn get more the +-1665Mhz and I thought I would get 1700+ very easy.

I set some mem config manually... 9-9-9-24 and 800Mhz speed (dual channel 1600)...command rate is set auto and was 1T. I also realized that memo latency is very very low with a little over clock! With Everest 5.3 I got 43.8ns!!

My problem is, while I increase the the FSB and pass 209Mhz (200Mhz standard) it freeze (blue screen) and restart. With the kingstons I got 214mhz max and memos at +-1415Mhz.

The northbridge speed I set at 2600Mhz on the BIOS...and it also keep increasing with the FSB overclok.

Now, I missed something? I made something wrong? I forgot something?

I wana reach the mobo max mem speed...1866Mhz, but I also would be happy with 1700+

Tks and sorry my english! hehe
