sykocus Posted January 14, 2004 Posted January 14, 2004 no they're not. technically if they gave out 100% uv light you wouldn't see it at all. only the glow of them exciting the photon of other objects. and since we're posting pics
sVperbeast2k5 Posted January 14, 2004 Posted January 14, 2004 The UV cathodes really aren't that bright normally, but they do make stuff that's white or UV-reactive glow, so if you have a reactive window panel, it will spread some of the UV glow through the case and significantly brighten things... Usually you can hide them and let them brighten other objects...
sykocus Posted January 14, 2004 Posted January 14, 2004 yah forgot to mention, i recently added a uv ccfl fan. the uv makes the fan housing glow wich in turn lights up the case. it probably doubled the over brightness of it. idea just came to me, if you got a piece of uv reactive pleix/acrqil and cut it to fit at the bottom of ur case, it might be a huge way of brightening things up. My case cae with that. It looks pretty nice. Unfortunately, I scratched the window, so if I want black lights in my case I have to replace it as the black lights bring out every imperfection. PickledSheep Posted January 14, 2004 Posted January 14, 2004 Having a uv reactive thing in the bottom of the case could help immensley. I have a UV light in my room and when i take the sheets off my bed the white mattress lights the whole room up and its incredibly bright. BeatRyder Posted January 14, 2004 Posted January 14, 2004 What I have found works really well is this: UV led's, and you chop the tops to that they are flat instead of round. Put a bunch of them in a bus strip (I have on with 20 leds) and they are super bright! they make every thing glow quite well.
