Well first off, what are you going to be doing with this computer?

-Blue-ray, movies

-Games

-Photo-editting?

If games - what games are you planning to play & at what settings

If photo-editting - what progams would you be using?

9. Seagate Barracuda 1.5TB Hard Drive ST31500341AS - 7200RPM, 32MB Cache, SATA-3G -- $130

Unless you are a memory junky and burn through harddrives like a demon -

then I would keep this sized drive. But if you are looking to save a bit of money -

In my opinion, I would move down to maybe 500GB? TB is just a bragging right -

not a lot of people actually fill up half of those.. Unless you are one of those guys

that do. xD

With digital media files growing all the time, I am finding that I can fill 2TB drives pretty darned quickly. 1.5TB offers best GB:$ ratio at the moment I believe.

I would consider going for the i7 over the i5 ,you can get it at Microcenter for the same price as your i5.

As far as thermal paste look into some HT-N1 from Noctua that what I use because of reviews I've read.

Edit: Sorry just looked at the motherboard and saw your going P55 series. Sorry

:withstupid: Definitely, the Hitachi 2TB is the closest to match 1.5TB gb/$ but still not there.

I'd pickup a different cooler than that, the megahalems is cheaper and better: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...2-001-_-Product

Memory: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...1-277-_-Product

The rest looks ok, most coolers come with thermal compound. Though with the Megahalems you will have to buy your own fan(s), but you could get a better fan or two.
