Ok, I'll bite.

1987 Mercedes Benz 300D-Turbo

232k miles

Just replaced some injection pump seals and motor mounts and is running great. I have some mods and preventative maintenance planned in the future. I guess one might say I like to tinker and tweak!

Psywar - how is the gas mileage with the stage 2 kit? I've been looking at it for my Cobalt but don't want to give up a ton of MPG. I imagine first gear is even more useless than it was stock? :P

Short-shifting is the key word :P

I'm more concerned about highway mileage than anything else. I know I get crap in-town.

EDIT: Or are you talking about the useless first gear? I have traction problems already (even shifting early); I can't imagine more power would make it any more reasonable. :P

The gas milage is still pretty good in the summer. I get like 19mpg in the winter though on 93 octane.

I have a tune from ZZP It has a boost reduction by 50% in first gear. First is still way to quick but it has really helped out.

I would definitly go with stage 2 it's too easy and very cheap. Injectors + Tune!

I think the colbalt guys live by the OTTP tunes. (over the top performance) I would look in to them for a tune unless you have HPTuners and you can do it yourself.

I was intending to get the GMPP tune simply because it will maintain my warranty (which is still good for another 4 years). I don't think I've ever seen below 24 or so in city-only driving. Is the highway mileage similar to the stock tune? I get ~33 MPG on the highway with 93 octane.
