nugga Posted December 31, 2009 Posted December 31, 2009 Any one have experince whit these noise absorbing kits, you put on the inner site of your case. http://www.pcsilent.de/en-pg-Retrofit-kits...aterial-73.html How well do they work? And do i need a quiet system from the start to make them work best?
NCC10281982B Posted December 31, 2009 Posted December 31, 2009 I found it was not worth it.

feetfats Posted December 31, 2009 Posted December 31, 2009 it would probably be cheaper to go with some of that stuff they use in car audio,, dynamat or brownbread that stuff on the pc sites is really expensive for the small amount you get,,, i personally think that if you want quiet you would be better off to A: get better fans B: get water cooling C: get longer cables and move your pc to somewhere that you won't hear it keep in mind that you can put all the sound matting you want in your case but sound is still gonna get out of the air vents,,, the sound mat will really only help when you have a case that resonates sound by vibrating etc.
NCC10281982B Posted December 31, 2009 Posted December 31, 2009 I used dynamat. I had problems with head and getting the case to close.
jammin Posted December 31, 2009 Posted December 31, 2009 Yes, you need a quiet system to start with to make the best of stuff like that. Fans will have more impact on how much noise your computer makes (along with anything that vibrates, such as HDDs). Noise damping material does help take the edge off already quiet systems though. I use some foam at various points in my case and it makes a noticeable difference. I don't know if I would pay much for it though. Jump4h Posted December 31, 2009 Posted December 31, 2009 (edited) I have those. There is a small difference, however for 40€ it was not worth it. I recommend getting better cooling parts instead.
