Must have Apps

Hi

 

Im getting a new gaming rig, and just wanted to know what must have apps i should get for :

 

1. Benchmarking and stressing

2. Temp, fan etc. monitoring and control

3. Detailed system hardware info regarding ram,cpu,gpu

4. Overclocking

 

I dont want a long list, just the most popular and useful apps that everyones using.

I also like MSI Afterburner for GPU stuff. (fans, clock speeds)

+1 on the MSI Afterburner. It has an option for setting the fan speed accoding to the temp. Example.

I'll second Intel Burn Test (IBT). I've added it to my list of necessary stress test programs and appreciate the fact that in all likelihood any system stable for 10-20 passes through IBT will be more than stable for any normal use, at least in my mind. YMMV.

If you use IBT make sure u have a WELL ventilated case or a good cooler. I've seen it cook a core2 duo up to 80 degrees with the stock cooler @ stock speed.
