Fireonice Posted December 24, 2009 Posted December 24, 2009 I just switched to Chrome and i have never been so happy It imported everything flawlessly and is defiantly faster. Looks better too. http://www.dailytech.com/Opera+105+Alpha+S...rticle17218.htm Who is switching?
MJCRO Posted December 24, 2009 Posted December 24, 2009 Yup man been using it for a few months now, I switch both on and off with Firefox, when it gets out of the BETA stage, I'll use it 24/7.
CheeseMan42 Posted December 24, 2009 Posted December 24, 2009 I've been using it for over a year now for Windows, and started on Linux as soon as it hit Beta. It is so much faster than Firefox, it isn't even fair.
flareback Posted December 24, 2009 Posted December 24, 2009 (edited) defiantly faster. hmmm. never heard it put that way. So it is boldly resisting slowness? I like that. oh and I just saw this article about Opera beta beating chrome on Windows 7 Edited December 24, 2009 by flareback
cirro Posted December 24, 2009 Posted December 24, 2009 i used chrome for a little bit, ran into some incompatibilities with the display of website, and said screw it went back to internet explorer.

IE? You've got to be kidding me.
crowTrobot Posted December 24, 2009 Posted December 24, 2009 I think I'm sticking with Opera, its got everything I need and more.
Zenphic Posted December 24, 2009 Posted December 24, 2009 I'm actually using Opera 10.5. It's actually wicked fast, faster than Chrome on my system. The only problem that it's really unstable, especially when flash comes into play (no wonder, it's a pre-alpha). I also prefer the feel of Opera. Doesn't Chrome still have some privacy issues? ClayMeow Posted December 24, 2009 Posted December 24, 2009 When you're talking about milliseconds, speed matters little to me. Although I have Chrome installed (mostly for testing purposes), Firefox will indefinitely remain my default browser due to my extensions. Chrome is near instantaneous, while Firefox is about 10 seconds.

Hope you're talking cold launch and not a warm launch or opening a webpage... Otherwise something's wrong.
Bandrew Posted December 25, 2009 Posted December 25, 2009 Chrome replaced firefox as my main browser when it originally came out in beta. It is just so much simpler, and works much better for dual monitors.
