robAP Posted December 23, 2009 Posted December 23, 2009 (edited) when i joined i was using: 2001 dell inspiron 8000 notebook p3-750 32mb ati moility rage 3d. 8 lbs. and 14 inches of fast depreciation. i spent the extra money on the swappable 3.5" disk/zipdrive disk bay devices. i thought it was worthwhile then. but i used this place to build a XPm2500+ that eventually ran at 2610mhz. on water. i still have that swiftech socket-A waterblock if anyone wants it. such a good knowledge base. Union Of V Posted December 23, 2009 Posted December 23, 2009 Opened up my first PC over the weekend. What a dust collector.... Dell something: Pentium III 800Mhz 600~Mb RAM NVidia GeForce 4 series graphics Stock Dell case with 1 (!) 92mm fan fitted over an 80mm hole with a duct over it so it only cooled the CPU... EXTREMELY loud Foxconn PSU Thank God I don't have to use that again...

cirro Posted December 23, 2009 Posted December 23, 2009 (edited) well when i joined, which was only 2 years ago.. it was pretty much my first true "meant to be oc'd" build before that i never had a GPU powerhouse, just relied on data crunching and net bandwith, security boxes it was a q6600, evga 780i, 2x2gb ballistix, gtx 260, 2tb, custom watercool that computer & the knowledge i have learned from this website, and from the members here turned that computer into the only true computer ive bragged about.. i love you guys. this website has single handed changed my entire spectrum on how i enjoy/feel about computers! gave me a positive track for me to use my abilities torwards and in a way helped me with my life a tad Edited December 23, 2009 by cirro
